Our Story

Ecosynic Africa was born from a clear conviction: Africa’s environmental challenges demand solutions that rise from African soil itself. We do not simply import technology or replicate models from elsewhere — we adapt, innovate, and co‑create approaches that reflect the realities of our communities.

From the very beginning, our work has been shaped by the voices of survivors of climate shocks. Families who have endured droughts, floods, and degraded landscapes have become our partners in design. Together, we build systems that go beyond short‑term sustainability to become truly restorative — systems that heal ecosystems, strengthen livelihoods, and restore dignity.

At the heart of this vision is our Centre for Climate Innovation in Meru, which serves as a living laboratory. Here, local leaders, researchers, and eco‑entrepreneurs test new ideas, refine practices, and share lessons that can be replicated across Kenya and beyond. It is not just a hub of innovation, but a place where resilience is cultivated and passed on to the next generation.

Our Vision

A climate-resilient Kenya where innovation, stewardship, and local leadership drive sustainable ecosystems and livelihoods.

Our Mission

To design, deploy, and scale climate solutions-rooted in restoration, water stewardship, renewable energy, and education - that strengthen resilience and open pathways to sustainable development.

Our journey has unfolded in distinct phases, each building on the last:

🏛️

Foundation

Ecosynic Africa was established to unify practical climate interventions under one coordinated Centre. This created a home for diverse efforts — from restoration to energy — to be aligned under a shared vision.

🌱

First Pilots

Our earliest projects focused on hillside restoration and water conservation. In Meru, degraded slopes were replanted with native trees, while in Isiolo, community water committees introduced riparian buffers. These pilots delivered measurable results.

Scale Phase

Building on these successes, we expanded into renewable energy adoption and school‑based climate education. Solar mini‑grids powered local enterprises, and climate field labs gave young people hands‑on experience in stewardship.

📚

Knowledge Hub

We published open toolkits, program briefs, and monitoring frameworks. These resources allow other organizations, schools, and cooperatives to adopt proven practices, extending our impact beyond immediate projects.

Today, Ecosynic Africa stands as both a movement and a model – rooted in African realities, powered by innovation, and sustained by communities themselves. Our story is not just about what we have built, but about the partnerships and resilience that continue to drive Kenya green revolution forward.

Meet the Founder

Ecosynic Africa was founded by Mr. Job Robert, a climate and community development practitioner from Meru County who recognized that Africa’s environmental challenges require solutions born from African soil.

His journey began with grassroots restoration and water conservation pilots, which revealed the need for a coordinated Centre for Climate Innovation. With a background in faith‑rooted outreach and survivor‑led advocacy, Mr. Robert envisioned Ecosynic Africa as a platform where science, local knowledge, and enterprise pathways converge.

Guided by principles of adaptation, community partnership, transparency, and innovation, Mr. Robert continues to lead Ecosynic Africa with humility and resilience, reminding partners that “every restored hectare is not just land — it is dignity, livelihood, and hope.”

Governance & Leadership

Ecosynic Africa is governed by experienced professionals across climate science, policy, finance, and community leadership.
